Alrighty.... the new template. It should be backwards compatible to the normal monster data. That was my goal for today, and since it seems to be working, I already redirected the old template to the new one, effectively updating all normal monsters.

Adding new monsters
If you look at the usage guide on the template's site you might notice it looks different from the current monster data pages. The current monster pages use something like this:
{{{{{format}}}
|...
which is simply annoying.
  • You always have to specify a template.
  • The data page is a mess, because the "format" variable is empty and so it only displays part of the raw data.
The new approach is
{{{{{1|Style/Monster}}
|...
  • Since it defaults to Style/Monster, the data is even visible if not included somewhere.
  • No need for "format=" when calling the data, simply put the template name in.
{{DataMonsterGray Wolf}} << normal template
{{DataMonsterGray Wolf|OtherTemplate}} << other template

Changing this for every monster might be a little troublesome... but maybe someone will be bored some day.

Difficulty
To use difficulties do the same as with normal monsters, but add "|StyleType=shadow or theatre". Now you can see the new cells. To actually fill them add the stat and drop information 4 more times, and append the difficulty to the variable name. Basic isn't needed, since the normal variables do that job. I've converted Fenrir to the template, so you can take a closer look at it, and compare:
http://mabinoger.com...php/Wolf#Fenrir
http://mabinoger.com...taMonsterFenrir
Also you can see how it looks if you use the above example if you go to the data page.

Alright, let's see if I did this correctly: Using the Arat Boar

Template: http://mabinoger.com...onsterArat_Boar
Monster Page: http://mabinoger.com.../Boar#Arat_Boar

Ee-yaah! Everything seems okay!

Hmm, since I can't seem to find them in the template structure, what's the color codes for the 5 difficulties?
